Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
What laws cover unincorporated nonprofit associations in Georgia? I am interested in organizing an association to preserve the history and provide academic research in my professional trade, with the possibility of incorporating as a nonprofit later.

The Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code in Title 14, Chapter 3 of the Georgia statutes. There is a lot of free information on the web if you simply do a search.
You can always do what you are trying to accomplish without incorporating, but you will not have liability protection and the donations will generally not be tax deductible for the giver.
