letter from a trust in ref. to winning money
i opened a checking account for a check i reciebed in the mail for a sweepstakes i intered on the internet. the check has not cleared yet but i need to know if it is a scam or not the man i talked to on the phone told me to contact a lawer if i didnt believe that it is true. he wants me to take the money out of the bank when the check clears and go to wal-mart and send it to them through moneygram and in a few weeks they will send the rest to my husband. they say that this first check is for taxes. can you help us/

Of course, it is an obvious scam. If you have sent any money to anyone, consider it gone. Keep all documents and phone numbers, etc., for the police.
