In a pending lawsuit, you will need to run it by an attorney who can review the documents. It is not something a lawyer can advise you on with general information. There are far too many variables. Good luck.

Failing to respond to out-of-state proceedings can result in a default judgment against you, which can then be enforced in your home state. It would be prudent to consult an attorney who can evaluate what you have received and ascertain whether you run serious risks by non-compliance with the foreign court order.
