Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

If an LLC is already dissolved can the representatives of the LLC still assign a contract to another party? There is not a non-assignment clause in the contract.

If they can assign the contract to someone else how do they prove to me that it was assigned legally? I do owe the LLC money, but since it no longer exists how do I know who to pay?

The LLC has been dissolved and inactive for about 12 months. I was never contacted by anyone at the company like a trustee or anything like that.
