Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Is locating unclaimed money a legal business?
I have been asked to join a friend in a business locating unclaimed money for individuals. She charges 50% as a finders fee. Is this a legal business and if so where can I find info concerning it?
Thank you!

Re: Is locating unclaimed money a legal business?
Based on just what you have stated, I know of nothing wrong with a business formed to find unclaimed money. It is a business just like any other. However, like with any other business venture, you would be well served to consult with an attorney to guide you from the formation of the business to what you can or cannot do.
