Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
My mother-in-law has been working for a home nursing-care service for about a year. About May or so, they told her that the accounts payable person was screwing up the books and was fired and they were trying to submit bills to insurance companies so they can get paid. It has been 2 months and she quit, since she still has not been paid a dime since May. Question is, when she files the civil suit in court, does she claim the NET or GROSS amount of her check? I told her the Gross amount, since she would then have to rely on them actually paying the governement her withholdings. Any help would be great!
