Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

If I own a Nevada corporation, can I own property in Georgia? Do I have to file as a foreign corp operating in GA? What if I don't use the property for operating business but for storage?

Any attorney will say you can own property anywhere, as can your corporation. If either you (or your corporation) are using the property for a business purpose, then you need to get any applicable business license permits. If you're only using the property for your own storage, that's not a business. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.

You or the company can certainly own property in Georgia. However, if you are using the property for business purposes, or if the company will own the property, there is a good chance your company will need to register as a foreign entity with the Georgia Secretary of State.
