Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
If I pay for a cd can I play it in my restaurant? I understand that I can't play the radio, but I am told now that I need a license to play a cd that I already paid for.

No, unless you pay a license fee. Your purchase doesn't cover commercial rebroadcast to others.

The other attorney is right on point here. A retail purchase of a CD does not cover playing it in your restaurant for customers. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
