Payment to wrong vendor
My business made a check payable to the wrong vendor.
This vendor just happened to be an individual, not a
company. The individual cashed the check and spent
the money. What are our legal rights for collecting
this amount back from this person. NOTE: This person
had not done anything warranting payment from us for

You could take out a warrant for theft by conversion or you could sue civilly for the tort of conversion.
