Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
receiving denied documents from a SCorp
I am a minority shareholder in several S- corporations. The arrangments in each corporation are identical. What laws backup my rights to corporate documents, ie. by-laws, articles, minutes, finicial statements, tax returns. The majority shareholder(the only other shareholder) has refused to provide this information to me.

Re: receiving denied documents from a SCorp
A little online research for the Official Code of Georgia section on corporations will provide the basic laws that cover shareholder rights to inspect documents. As for what rights YOU specifically have, it would take a review of the law and the specific documents (bylaws, etc.)
Re: receiving denied documents from a SCorp
There are specific procedures that you, as the shareholder, must follow but Georgia law provides that you are entitled to corporate documents and financials.
