Does an S-corp have to file in the state of origin once it has switched to a new state?

There is no such thing as a corporation switching to a new state. You may have crated a huge mess in both states. Do what you should have already done - see your lawyer and hope you can fix what you did.

I'm not following your question. If you mean simply that it has physically moved to a different state, then the company would need to register in the new state as a foreign entity. Or the company would have the option of converting its incorporation from the old state to the new.
