Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Small Business Start-up

Before setting up an LLC for my at-home business, I would like to get an estimate (approximate annual $s) of what the ongoing costs (registration fees, reporting fees, etc.) are associated with running an LLC. Can you give me a ballpark figure (simple business, no outside investors)? Thanks.

Re: Small Business Start-up

The only way to get a real estimate is to call a lawyer who specializes in these matters and provide more details than you did here about the type of busines. The best estimate is from the person who will actually be doing the work, not a guess here.

Re: Small Business Start-up

There is no way to give an estimate of what the costs would be of running the business, but if you are talking about the bare minimum to be registered as an LLC with Georgia, there is a registration fee of $100 and an annual registration fee of $30. You will also probably need a business license form the city or county where the business is located and that differs from city to city.
