Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

I have started a new corporation in Ga. I plan on expanding this business with new companies and company acquisitions. This is why I chose to setup a corporation.

Here is my question: When I start a new company with this company as the owner, is it better to setup new LLC's under the corp, or just DBA's under the corp. For example, I need to setup a separate marketing division under this corp that can take payments and operate as a different name than the corp. I also have a software company that would need to be setup the same way. What would be the best way to set this up?

You need to consult with a Georgia corporate lawyer about the specifics. Using a DBA is NEVER the answer for the purposes of obtaining limited liability. Multiple LLC's may be the answer, depending on other factors. There are lawyers who specialize in this and do it every day. From what you post, however brief, you need a lawyer who is an expert in the area and can handle all your needs. Check websites or get referrals. If they list everything from dog bites to personal injury to bankruptcy, or other unrelated areas, move on.
