Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

I have stopped attending this church, however they still have me and my family listed as members. I have told themthat I have removed my membership and they told me I did not have the right to so and that the "board of deacons" would have to vote on the status of my membership. I have VERY strong feelings against the teachings of this church and want my name removed NOW. What do I do now?

OK, since you don't understand the clear responses you received and don't like the easy solution, and you are asking for legal information, hire a lawyer to file a case in Superior Court to try to require that the church mark through your name in the record book and take you off the email and newsletter list. That is a complicated case, so expect to spend thousands of dollars on legal fees and expenses before a Judge dismisses the case as frivolous. Or, you can just stop going to the church and move on with your life at a new church. Posting here over and over won't change the response.

Posting the same question over and over does not change the clear answer you got yesterday.

You can do that answer (simply write them a letter, leave and never go back) and spend 44 cents.

Or you can ignore the obvious and simple answer and pay a lawyer tens of thousands of dollars asking for a court order that they read your letter, end up being cited for frivolous litigation and paying the church's legal fees, because you can't write a one sentence letter and go to a new church.
