Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Store Front
I hope I can xplain.
I just resigned from an employer, and I am going to work for another company ''S''.
Now, in the meantime, I formed my own company (LLC), company ''L''. I will be an employee of company ''S'', but doing business through my own LLC company. I need to transfer the money I make from my LLC company to my employer company ''S'' so they can pay me. Is this possible?
Company ''S'' does not want to simply contract me to do the side jobs, I need to be their employee, yet the money paid to my LLC needs to go to the cmopany ''S''. in order to pay me as an employee.
Can you tell me the best way to do this?
Thanks,
~bg

Re: Store Front
To answer your question about the best way to do it, it is probably for you to be an employee and the new employer bills and collects the money. Beyond that, you need to see a lawyer or CPA to review what you want to do, and why. We do not know the business details, or the possible tax consequences (both to the employer and your LLC).
