how soon can i be sued ?
I own a company , we have a debt of $ 15,000.00 that is just 90 days old and the vendor has filed suit in superior court already . I gave him a bad check earler . I also gave him a good one of $2,500.00 . do i have any way to delay action against me . Yes , i did sign a personal note also .

I think you answered your own question concerning how soon can you be sued. The only prudent course of action is to get a lawyer ASAP.

If the other party has already filed suit, you cannot delay the suit. You do have to respond to the complaint within 30 days. You need to have a local attorney review the complaint and advise on how to respond.
