Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
unsigned contract-- is it binding
I am a consultant for a company that offers ''in home'' retail sales. When I signed up, I was not given a contract to sign. I am aware that a contract exists that prohibits consultants from selling similar products for another company for one year. Since I did not sign a contract, am I bound to it? Can I be sued if I change companies?

Re: unsigned contract-- is it binding
If you did not agree to the contract, verbally or by signature, you are not bound by it. However, you can still be sued and would have to present a defense that you did not agree to the contract at issue.
