Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
warrenty issuew
We had a customer that bought a piece of carpet from us 2yrs. ago. We had it stored at another company. After one and a half years of holding this piece of carpet and letting customer know that she needs to do something with it we sold it. The customer is now asking about the carpet. We were more than patient and we had to pay storage fee where the carpet was at. Is there a satue of limitations or anything I can use to explain why we feel we do not have to return her money.

Re: warrenty issuew
There is no statute of limitation with regard to holding property on behalf of another. However, if the contract addresses this issue, look to the terms to determine what happens to property held past a certain date.
