Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
My wife's father just passed. She had signed a contract, "on behalf" of her father, with a private caregiver. The contract did not have a death clause, but it does stipulate that two weeks notice must be given before termination. We don't have a problem paying the caregiver two weeks of pay, but are we allowed to wait until the estate is settled or do we have to pay the caregiver now? Not sure if it matters, but my wife is the POA of the estate.
