Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

I was blocked by a man who stood in front of my vehicle. I was hunting my sons dog.I had drove down a service road calling out the dogs name. When i drove out he demanded my ID which i would not do. I explained there were numerous of us hunting.I told him where i lived which was literrally behind his backyard. I started to leave he put himself in front of my vehicle and told me i would have to run him over. Thinking the guys got problems, I called the police. Making it short,the police did tell the guy to get licence numbers from now on. Did find out my son had already searced down the same road. The man knew what i was doing. The police is writing up a report and did advice the other man of possible civil action against him. He was a true moron, whatdo you think. I dont mind telling you, but im am much older than this other man and bad health, i was scared eventhough all he had was a flashlight, he stood in front of my vehicle for more than an hour. Advice?

You are asking lawyers, so presumably you are asking whether this is an opportunity to sue and get a big check from this man (that is really the only reason to ask lawyers). Even if you had a claim from him standing in front of your car (which is questionable and would require more facts - plus must likely he would have moved had to started to drive), the first question is do you want to 1) move on and go about your life, and avoid this person, or 2) hire a lawyer and spend the next few months or years pursuing a lawsuit against a neighbor who lives beside you? If the second, go see a lawyer to discuss all the facts to see if you have a case.
