If I am not a convicted felon, but have had domestic violence with an ex-wife over eight years ago can I purchase a firearm under Georgia laws?

Purchase from a dealer is generally federal law, while carry license is state law. You can certainly try either one, but definitely expect to have problems with a GA Carry permit.
