Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia
denied membership
I have not yet applied for membership in a particular Fraternal Organization, however, I've been told if I'm a convicted felon I will be denied application. This Orginazation makes one exception for admitting convicted felons. If you are a convicted felon, and your conviction involves drunk driving laws, you may apply for membership and be voted on by the membership. My question is: can a Fraternal Organization legally discriminate against ANY type felon?
