Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

Excessive Force

Some people I know have been treated with excessive force by some police officals. Items have been stolen from there persons during this incident. Medical treatment was needed as the persons were detained. There is evidence to support this within the med. dept. in local inmate div. This matter was brought to their Judges yet nothing was done. How can I go about prosecuting these police men who committed this crime and where to I start first?

Re: Excessive Force

My advice would be to look into filing a civil suit against the officers and their department(s). Suits of this nature can be tricky due to certain governmental immunities, but can be worth pursuing nevertheless. If you would like to discuss any issues further, please feel free to contact my office. Thank you.
