Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia
I was fired in the state of georgia for having a handgun at the place where i work. The handbook at work says we can't possecess weapoms on the property as a employee but any other person can. I never saw the handbook till i was fired through a text message and told to turn my keys in or i'd be charged for locked replacement. I have Georgia carring permit and miliarty liscense that says i can carry as long as not a goverment building, a bar, or jail. Is there legeal action that i can take. The law 16-11-135 states that you can also have weapon on property as long locked in car briefcase or etc.. where your the one with only access to it. It also states that they can not have in there company polices rule that prohibit you from having weapon on property as long as you have the right permits.

Since you decided to not tell us the details of where you had the gun on the employer's property, you can't get a meaningful response. The law also does not say all the things you apparently think it does.
