frend arested not read rights do they have to read you your rights
he can not aford a lawer but they told him he needs to pay 50$ to sighn up for a cort apointed lawer
this is in canton GA

No, the police do not have to read you your rights when they arrest you.

NO - especially if DUI and especially when no questions asked your friend after arrest
They can charge friend $50 for indigent fee - friend should file application with Court and let Judge know that friend does not even have the $50 or request $50 be paid in installments
