Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

I helped an old friend in Nov 2014 who lost her storage unit. I took in all her stuff on verbal agreement that this was for short term until she could figure something out for all her items. It is now 14 months later. I still have her items. She has been out of contact for 7 months. Now her boyfriend has been harassing me about getting back her stuff. Legally is her stuff mine by "abandonment." There are of course more details but this is the main point.

It isn't yours. Easy solution - tell the boyfriend to have her get in touch with you directly, and give you written permission for him to pick it up. Then have it packed up and ready for him on the porch or wherever, so there is no picking through stuff or going through your house. Sure there is more to the story and you can drag it out, keep the story going, and make the situation worse if that is what you want to do. You can also do your best to end it and move on. There is one right answer.
