Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

My Identity

I was working for a tattoo establishment from may 2005 to August 2005 and quit without notice. I took my stuff, left, and never went back and found work at another place around the same area. I have nothing to do with the first place mentioned as it was a really rough situation. I come to find that this past November, the first place I was at from may to august is using my name in their advertisements claiming that I am still working there and that I am a representative of them. As an artist, this is damaging not only to my income - as people looking for me may choose to go to the first place instead of seek me out - but my reputation as well - since I left the first place because of human relation problems, harassment, and other various reasons. Is there anything that I can do? Thanks.

Re: My Identity

Send them a certified mail letter - to refrain from using your name. Give them a deadline to do so (something like 10 days is reasonable). Make sure you keep a copy of the letter before you mail it and a copy of the return receipt - just in case they fail to stop using your name.
