while parked in a church parking lot looking for an address on my computer a county officer pulled along side of me . i explained that i was searching for an address and ask if he knew where a Boyd road was. he stated that he did not and then said to wait. he pulled behind my car and then he yelled out that my tag was illegal and it belonged to another car . he then ask if i had any weapons i had a rifle unloaded in the trunk. he told me to exit i did. he went through my pockets and found contraband the judge reviewed the tape and ruled illegal search. the officer had tried to say that a car which was sold was the tags place it was not. they are refusing to return my gun . and as far as i can tell the officer was not acting under the color of law. can i sue.
