Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia
someone payed me for a job with a check made out to my landlord for rent i owed which we agreed on put on the check it was for my rent, they took the check personally to the landlord and in return stopped payment on the check the next day. the job was finished is there anything i can do about this? please help

If someone owes you money, you can sue them. The landlord will be expecting you to pay rent.

You may be able to sue for fraud and theft of services and get punitive damages

P.S.:
Did you pay landlord for rent - bad third party check no excuse. Landlord can evict you for nonpayment!!
