Can a salaried employee be docked for anytime off--if since he is salaried means that he works no matter the hours--Can an employer dock his pay

Except in very narrow circumstances, docking a salaried employee's pay would destroy the exemption under federal law that allows the employer to avoid paying overtime. In other words, if you were docked simply because there wasn't enough work to do, you would no longer be considered to have been paid on a "salary basis" and, therefore, would be entitled to overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 in a week.
