Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

Ive done some tile work for a person, we agreed on $1500 and he only paid me $1300. Now after 10 days hes accusing me of stealing some old tools he had, I didnt even use his tools. What should I do and Can I sue him?

You can sue him in small claims court (Magistrate Court) for the $200 he owes you in the county in which the work was done. Your claim will be for BREACH OF CONTRACT. You will have to serve him with the lawsuit. If you go to the court clerk's office, they can walk you through this process.

What is it worth in time and money for $200? Sure, you can sue and if you win, you should not expect him to just had you cash. You have to spend more time and money collecting. In addition, if he is serious about his allegations, he may counterclaim against you.
