Legal Question in Technology Law in Georgia
If I were interested in doing something along the lines of "Humans of New York" in a different city (Savannah, GA), would I need to have the persons interviewed sign a legal waiver of some sort first? Is there such a thing as a generic legal waiver that would be sufficient? This would mainly be a hobby for me, but I might possibly be interested in publishing a book of my interviews at some point. I envision beginning with a Facebook page for the interviews.

There is no such thing as a generic waiver as one cannot waiver any and all rights they may have. It would need to be more specified as to what you are doing with them. I would suggest finding one for a similar activity and then having an attorney review and revise for your specific needs.

The standard answer is, yes, you need a waiver from everyone. There are FB, Meetup, and other groups of photographers who discuss things like this and will be a good source of information.
