How can I get my money back for a computer purchase?

I purchased a laptop computer from Best Buy on May 21st 2004. Since purchasing we have been repaired or replaced. We have our 4th laptop from them. It is either down or being repaired most of the time I've had it and my son uses this laptop for college. I've asked for my money back just for the laptop and they refuse as on the receipt it says I have 14 days to return the pc for a refund. the 1st laptop messed up by July 3rd of 2004. Then the one they replaced it with was replaced in Nov. 2004. That one was replaced in March 2005. Since the one we recieved in March, its been repaired in April and needed a new battery in May. This laptop messed up again at the end of June, took it to Best Buy where I was told by a ''Geek Squad'' associate it was clogged by spyware and to bring it home and do a restore on the pc. Started the restore and encountered an error. Called Best Buy who told me it would cost me $50-$60 for them to run the restore for me ( thats funny since I purchased a 3 yr warranty when I purchased the original laptop). I've also been informed that each time they replaced my laptop I should have had to buy a new warranty. Can you give me any advice on what to do here? Thank You!!

Nonlegal answer: Since you received the new computer recently, it is probably still under warrenty from the manufacturer. Have you called them?

Legal answer: A lawsuit will be required to get Best Buy's attention. You may wish to file one in small claims division of the State Court. You will have to sue it in Gwinnett county and have it served c/o NATIONAL REGISTERED AGENTS INC, 3761 VENTURE DRIVE, DULUTH, GA 30096.

I am presently having a problem with Best Buy myself, so you may see me down there. ;-)

You can sue Best Buy in the county where you purchased the computer, but you will still need to have the complaint served to the address I gave you. The clerk should help you with this.
