Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Georgia

Hello. I am a French citizen married to an American and living in the States at the moment. I am pregnant and it looks like I will have to have the baby in the States. However, I do not want my child to automatically become an American citizen because if one day my husband and I were to get a divorce (God forbid!), then he would have more rights to keep the child and I don't want to live with that fear. Is there any way my child can have a French passport even if it's born here? I'd be happy for any advice. Thank you!

A child born in the U.S. is a U.S. citizen - period. That cannot be changed.
