Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Georgia
Are the Police allowed to search when I said they couldnt search?
If the Police ask to search my car? If they don't find anything in the passenger compartment can they continue the search into the trunk. This is during a traffic stop for weaving in lane.

Re: Are the Police allowed to search when I said they couldnt search?
The answer depends upon what information the police have, including what they see in the passenger compartment. I would need more details before I could answer one way or the other.

If you gave them permission to search your car, then they had permission to search the trunk. Never give the police permission to search your car without a good reason.
