Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Georgia

Signature Forgeyr

I was signing a contract that required both mine and my husband's name and info. I signed for us both and filled in the info. Now we are in a legal dispute over a different aspect of the contract. If I say to the judge that I signed for my husband (which would help our case) can I get in trouble for that or does my husband have to want to press charges in order for me to get in trouble?

Re: Signature Forgeyr

If you signed with your husband fully informed permission, there should be no problem. If you are involved in a civil case, you cannot get into criminal trouble in that proceeding. A separate criminal case would have to be brought against you by the local prosecutor.
