Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
have a contract with contractor to build retaining wall, total $22,000, have paid 18,000. contractor is tring to leave job with only 1/2 work done, what legal rights do i have? i probably can take him to court and will probably win but how can i make him either finish job or reimburse some of the money,

You already know the answer if he refuses - file a lawsuit. You can't force him to finish if he does not want to. You will have to sue for the expense of having someone else finish it. In the future, make periodic payments as the work is completed rather than paying ahead.
