Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
Contractor not finishing job.
I made a verbal agreement with a contractor for a remodeling job. We agreed on the payments and work to be performed. In good faith we made one payment too many and now the contractor will not answer our calls or return to finish the job. We have everything documented as far as what we paid him and what we have expensed ourselves. Is there anything I can do as far as Small Claims Court? Do I need to obtain an attorney?

You generally do not need an attorney for small claims court. The forms you can get from the clerk are often self-explanatory.
