Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
Sub contractor put a lien on my house
I hired a poolman to put in a pool for me. He sub contracted out the concrete work. I paid the poolman the money for the concrete the day after the concrete was poured. The poolman did not pay the sub contracted concrete man. I have proof of payment. I just received papers from the concrete guy he is putting a lien on my house. What are my rights? I cannot believe I'm held responsable. The poolman called me yesterday and said he was going to pay the concrete guy. I don't believe that will be the case.

Re: Sub contractor put a lien on my house
It sounds like you need to fight the lien since you had no contract with the concrete guy.
