Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
sales agreement
We signed a sales agreement with a log home company. The signature portion of that agreement was cut off with scissors, scotch-taped on to the bottom of another sales agreement, and ran then ran through a copy machine to produce a new document. It was done without our permission or knowledge. Therefore our sales agreement was tampered with and is not in its original state when signed by us. Is this illegal or are there accepted circumstances? We still do not understand why they did it - we just know they did.

Re: sales agreement
If the terms of the reconstructed sales agreement are different than the original that you actually signed, that would be fraud. So, you would not be held to those different terms, the company would have some pretty serious liability.
