Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
Sinking slabs
We have been in our house since 1989 & have a sinking garage slab & front porch slab. We had a rep from the builder come out in 1999 and was told that since the concrete was not cracking, he was not worried. Well, since then we have tried to remedy the situations, with short term results. Plus, other problems have crept up because of the original 2. Do we, after 18 years have any recourse. We just want the problems fixed right, and recoop monies already invested.

Re: Sinking slabs
You are well beyond the point where you could have asserted any valid claim you may have had, since you have obviously had knowledge of the problem for many years and had the opportunity to act. An exception would be if it were covered by a warranty or contract, but that would be unusual, to say the least.
