Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
3 day right to rescind a contract
i signed an online merchant account 2 days ago. I asked that the contract to be cancelled the next day. The company refused. They dont have a cancellation fee either. The company does not have my original signature on these contracts because they were faxed. Am I protected under the 3 day right to rescind law? Is a contract valid without original signatures?

Re: 3 day right to rescind a contract
Faxed signatures are prefectly legal. There is NO right to rescind contracts for 3 days. Unless the contract has a right to recission in the contract, there isn't one. Exceptions are some things sold door to door, some health spas and certain specific contracts listed in state or federal law.
