I accepted a tv offer to try a product for 30 days and only pay 6.95 shipping and handling. The company sent me two packages of videos to try. I sent the videos back, but the company billed me, saying that I had to return one of the packages in 10 days or call to get a 20 day extension, or I would be charged $189.95. They billed me for it. I told them I was never told about having to return the one package within 10 days. They gave me authorization codes and told me to return the videos. I assumed they would credit back the $189.95, but they did not. So I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I sent documentation of what happened, along with the authorization codes the company gave me, plus a postal receipt of when I returned them. The credit card company is saying I am not providing sufficient documentation. They say I need to provide a copy of the company's return policy, and other items. I have told them I sent them everything I have, which should be sufficient evidence that I returned the product according to the company's instructions. I am not having any success getting the credit card company to give me a credit for the charge, which I have already paid, even though I did not authorize the company to charge me for it, and I have returned the items. Could you help me? I feel like I have been ripped off by a deceptive company and my credit card company is putting the burden of proof on me instead of the merchant. All I did was agree to try the product, not buy it. Thanks.

Returning it according to the instructions or authorization is not necessarily returning it in compliabce with their return policy. No one here can tell you what that is. You should have received (and read) the documentation that came with it, but you made no mention of that at all - what it says, or whether it is not there. Without the other half of the story, we can't tell what the policy was or how it was conveyed.
If you're not sending them the return policy, they will not be able to help you. You should have a copy in your written paperwork (it may also be on their website). Companies do not have to have any return policy, but, if you complied with it exactly and can prove that, then you will do fine. Your refusal to do that yet is why you have had no success.
