Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Under aged children allowed admission to movie theatre.
My ex-husband (non-custodian parent) dropped off my 14 year old daughter, 12 year old neice and another under aged child to a movie theatre at 10:00 pm on 6-6-09. I thought my ex-husband was with the children but he was not, he dropped them off. I am going to deal with him, but I also want to know what can be done the movie theatre for not enforcing their policy which is listed on their website which says, ''No children under age 6 will be admitted to any r-rated feature after 6pm. Valid IDs will be required to attend Rated R movies. You must be atleast 17 years of age or have your parent accompany you to view the movie. IDs will be checked at the theatre.'' Clearly no ID's were checked and the children walked right in. Thank God nothing happened to them. What can I do about this?

Call the manager to discuss, and realize the parent(s) was where the issue started, then the child. Even if the theater was lax, they are not the parents.
