Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I agreed over the phone to pay for computer help from rescuecom.com so that my wife could get her Facebook log in going again and to get video chat. After two days of working on the problem the rep fixed the fb problem, but told her that we did not have enough service for the chat, and she told him that was why she had really called about. The bankcard that I had given them expired and I was issued another so the charge did not go through. The mngr called wanting ok for new card,I told him that we wanted out because we were not entirely happy with service. He said he had everything on tape and transcript and they expected to pay all 12 months.I am willing to pay for the one time service, but can he hold me to all 12 months.

Can they? You agreed to something, so what was it? You left out the most important information. While a business like that (and I didn't go to the site) is likely not going to pursue it in court and probably on your credit report, they might. They are normally just out there to such people in, get as much as they can, and move on. Just about any teen could have probably fixed your issue. Be glad your card expired or you would probably be cleaned out.
