Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Airborne Express damage

Airborne express damage a packaged that was sent to my work. Five people witnessed package delivery. I had driver note package damaged before signing(witnessed). The camera shipped was damaged. shipper called in the claim.Airborne requires a written form to be filled in and returned. I filled the claim in(not shipper)and faxed in. camera taken to repair center to have estimate on damage. Airborne inspector called while camera was at center. I told him I could retrieve the camera for inspection, but was told that he would contact airborne about the estimate and that he might not have to inspect the camera. A month later I recieved a letter from claims denying the claim, saying that they needed to inspect the damaged item before allowing anyone else to look at it. I was not told this when I faxed the claim to them. They told the shipper this when he reported claim. I was never told this. The camera has not had anything done to it other than having been looked at by the camera repair center. My package was insured for $700.00. Repair cost $305.00.

Airborne is trying to get out of paying the claim.

What is my legal recourse in this? Small claims court?

Re: Airborne Express damage

Sounds like a perfect small claims court case to me. Be sure to take all your documentation as well as at least a couple of the witnesses with you.
