Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Used auto contract

I signed a contract and purchased a vehicle from a dealer a month and a half ago.The dealer has not been able to get a loan for me under the terms in the contract.Does the dealer have to honor the terms of the contract?

Re: Used auto contract

Both sides have to follow a contract. I don't know that you breached the contract by not getting financing yet, but the end result is that the contract likely provides that you either have to get financing, or take the car back, or something else. Read the contract to see what it says about the issue. No one here has a copy.

Re: Used auto contract

You have a serious misunderstanding of car contracts. YOU have breached the contract. You must obtain the financing and owe for the car whether you finance it or not. You should NEVER buy a car unless you, prior to going to the dealer, are preapproved by a lender or bank. At this point you are at their mercy and may either have to come up with cash, or accept worse financing terms.
