Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Auto dealership damaged our vehicle
We took our truck in for repair work at a local car dealership. While the truck was on the lift it fell off. There is considerable damage to the underside of the vehicle including a bent frame. This is a 1998 truck that we use for our business. It is our only vehicle for our business. They have supplied us with another vehicle to use while it is being repaired but we are concerned about potential future problems with the truck due to this incident. What legal recourse or options are we entitled to?

Re: Auto dealership damaged our vehicle
Ordinarily, you are entitled to your choice of the cost of repair or the diminution in fair market value. However, I would not trust this dealer that the truck is even repairable. I would get at least two independent opinions.
