Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Auto Loan Down Payment
My husband and I bought a car last month with a hefty down payment of $2000. We gave 2 checks one for $500 and one for the remainder with the understanding from the salesman we could have an extention if needed. We do in fact need the extention and the same salesman now says he doesn't recall tellying us that. We know we cannot get all of it together and they have already cashed the initial check. What will they try to do now?

You fail to state what agreements he signed, and what they provide. That is the first place to start.
