Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
used auto purchase
purchased a 04 jeep from dealer, finance manger told me that my bank, USAA does not finance for 72 months, I went with his bank, which had higher interest rate gap insurance fee etc. Is it possible to cancel purchase agreemnet, and rewrite with my bank, based on misleading information from finance manager?

You did everything wrong, and you probably fell for the oldest (but legal ploy) in the world. Assuming you signed a standard contract, you agreed to pay regardless of how you financed. If that's the case, you now have to finance somewhere.
BTW, it is a complete ripoff to finance ANY car for that long. It means you are trying to buy more car than you can afford. You'll need pricey gap insurance, and you'll be uposde down for almost the whole loan. You really should limit new car loans to 36 months and used ones to 24. 48 or 60 may be okay on a new car with a large down payment.
Instead of going to the dealer's bank, go to credit unions and banks yourself. Carry the car paperwork. Set up the best loan you can (get approval, which often takes minutes) and only take the dealer's loan deal if you cannot find anything else.
Next time you buy a car, get preapproval for a loan from your credit union or bank before you visit a dealer.

Hi it is always possible that you can cancel the agreement.but while you signed the agreement you must have to follow their rules to cancel, ammend or fulfill the agreement.so first of all check the details of the agreement.but it is final you have to follow the sales agreement coz you have signed on it already, means you agreed to follow whatever rules they have..o.k.bye & take care.
